New shoot with Kate. I was experimenting with new lighting techniques. I used two lights to create this effect and have a few more elements to add to this set up, but I did not have the materials on hand. This was our last shoot before she leaves for school in the northeast.

Early Morning on the Intracoastal Water way

Stitched Panorama of the Intracoastal Waterway

Stitched Panorama of the Intracoastal Waterway (click for full size image)

This is a 180 degree panoramic shot from Ballard Park over looking the Intracoastal Way Way near the Eau Gallie Causeway. The timing was a trick to catch the sun peeking over the horizon. The trick is to get enough light but not so much you leave half of the shot under or over exposed. I thinking of printing this out for a wall mural.

New York Street Pano

This was from last years trip to NYC. The shot is on Grand Street between Wythe & Kent streets. I have been working with panoramic style shooting for a while and still exploring the possibilities and options this style allows.

Quiet sun raise

Quite sun raise

Quiet sun raise

Sometimes I get up early to catch the perfect conditions to take a photo. This image is located near the Eau Gallie Causeway crossing the Indian River Lagoon. I like the sail boat sitting quietly waiting for the sun to raise that the day to begin a new day.

Real Estate & Architectural photography

This is a quick video I created to explain how I photograph Real Estate property & Architectural buildings. The resulting images look simple but,  the implementation on the other hand takes time and planning to get an exceptional image. Many times photographs of a luxury properties do not do the property justice it  deserves. Using Exposure Bending and Multi-Shot panoramic techniques I create image not possible with basic photography methods.

New, Old image

Rotterdam, Netherlands

I was revisiting images in my archive to help with a project I have to do an album cover for a friend. We discussed ideas and concept he wanted the image to have to work with the theme of the music.

An image I pulled out of the archive was an image I shot while in the city Rotterdam in the northern European country the Netherlands. I saw the red chair left in an alley near the hotel. I was struck by the lone red chair sitting vacate under a lone street light in a back ally. The loneliness of the image reminded me of my travels around the world.

The Zen of Photography

A very interesting method to photography.
