Florida Discount Music held the “Back Lot” music event for local up and coming bands as an appreciation for all the customers. The last band to play was Konglom (facebook page) which is two piece band of Ryan Speer & Mike Della Cioppa. LX-Goods was there as well supporting local artists. The graffiti artist Sone did a quick throw piece on the back wall of the store.
I was ask by Chris Maslow (AKA Slow) to document his mural he painted in a local night that is redecorating in the interior. The mural is complete done with spray cans, no brushes. It was a tricky shot because of the light was very bright in some spots. I had to manually use a light meter to get a bracket exposure. I used nine exposures to get all the tonal detail of the image.
Primary Flight took place during Art Basel 2010 in Miami’s around the Wynwood Arts District. Graffiti & Street artists took over the wall of the Wynwood Arts District with permission of the building owners. It was an epic event, I had a bit of an apprehension to being in Miami industrial district at night. I have to say I was wrong, the area was crawling with artist everywhere, the air had a good vibe. Every one was very chill and in to the scene. I was jaw dropped over the work I saw, it was amazing to meet and talk to people from around the world that had come to Miami to take a can of spray paint to a wall.
This images are shot with a Canon 5D MK II, I used a number of techniques to get the shots. I want to capture the interaction of the artist and their work

Slow and Sone judged a Graffiti Battle held at “The Park“. I wander down to see the battle and check out the park. I have fond memories of skate parks, my first broken bones was from skateboarding. The park is indoors and very impressive.
Space Coast Vibe but on a fashion show & B-Boy battle at Off the Tracks in down town Melbourne. I shot a few of the dancers working their airobatic magic.
I have been experimenting with panoramic photography, it is a great way to show a large space with the over distortion of a ultra-wide angel lens or the severe cost of a professional grade wide angle lens. The every time I shoot a panorama I learn a new technique or trick to all them to come out better, I am going to try and shot multi shot panoramic and use a HDR techniques…
